Hudson's Maintenance Inspection Service means money saved .  .  .

Hudson Products Corporation's contract maintenance inspection service puts Hudson's years of experience with air-cooled heat exchangers and cooling towers to work for you — before trouble starts, not after. Designed to eliminate or reduce downtime and costly repairs resulting from equipment failure, the service can also help you maintain the efficiency of air-cooled heat exchanger or cooling tower equipment. Either way, you save.

We Inspect, Report, Make Recommendations
Hudson's service for air-cooled heat exchangers and cooling towers can mean the difference between a marginally operating unit and an efficient, cost-effective one.

Fans and Drive Components
Wear:
Fans and all components are inspected for wear, deterioration, and structural integrity. We report defects that could lead to decreased efficiency or eventual failure.

Calibration:  Hudson personnel will check fan blade pitch angle and the horsepower draw of the fan motor to determine whether calibration is correct. Proper calibration maintains system performance and efficiency, and ensures system integrity.

Vibration:  Hudson will check for excessive vibration of rotating elements and recommend action if necessary. In-depth vibration analysis is available upon request.

Lubrication:  Extensive testing in our Research and Development Department and years of field experience enable Hudson to provide recommendations for optimum lubrication of fan and drive components. Proper lubrication extends operating life, reduces downtime, and cuts maintenance costs for fan and drive components.

Motors
General inspection:
We check motors for excessive vibration, proper lubrication, bearing deterioration, and operating efficiency. Our findings and recommendations could help you improve reliability and increase motor life and efficiency.

Hudson's knowledge of induced-draft (top) and forced-draft units (below) can be applied to check the condition and operating efficiency of your system

Correlation of nameplate data with conditions:   Hudson will check actual motor load against nameplate data and tell you whether equipment is operating according to specifications. If not, we will suggest ways to obtain the best combination of performance and efficiency.

Here's what you get with Hudson's Contract Maintenance Inspection Service

Overall — Retrofit studies determine whether applying recent technological advances to system would be economically beneficial.

1.  Tube bundles — HPC inspects internal and external conditions.

2.  Motors — HPC checks vibration, lubrication, wear, and efficiency; correlate nameplate data with operating conditions to determine best combination of performance and efficiency.

3.  Structure — Hudson inspects structure to determine overall condition.

4.  Fans — Hudson inspects for wear, proper calibration, and excessive vibration and determines optimum lubrication.

Structure
Hudson inspects for corrosion, cracks, air leaks, and deterioration that compromise performance and physical integrity of the unit. Hudson will recommend corrective procedures if they are necessary.

Tube Bundles
Exterior inspection: Hudson will inspect fin tube exteriors for cleanliness, distortion, and corrosion to help you sustain unit performance and avoid tube failures.

Interior inspection of header:  Inspection inside the header for corrosion, erosion, or scale buildup can help you prevent unexpected shut-downs and schedule maintenance to fit your timetable.

Overall System
Performance Check: Hudson can check and evaluate performance of your system as a whole and can recommend changes that will improve system performance.

Retrofit studies:  You could profit from recent technological advances. Hudson can inspect and analyze your heat exchanger or cooling tower to determine whether retrofitting is economically feasible. Upgrading systems could improve efficiency and reduce energy costs.

Recirculation:  Hudson can provide consultation on reducing or eliminating hot air recirculation between units.

You Maintain Control
Services are performed for a fixed daily rate. Hudson inspects the facilities you designate and on completion provides you with a written report of findings and recommendations. While Hudson can provide experienced supervision to assist you in maintaining or upgrading systems, the inspection service is not tied to such assistance. We provide the information you need to make your decisions.
